Sam Allardyce hits back at Wayne Rooney after furious reaction to being subbed against Liverpool

Sam Allardyce has reminded Wayne Rooney that he’s the boss after the veteran reacted angrily to being substituted in Saturday’s goalless draw between Everton and Liverpool.

The former Manchester United man was hauled off after just 57 minutes following an ineffective display and looked furious as he took his seat in the dugout, ignoring his manager as he walked past.

Rooney then snatched a jacket off a coach and could be clearly seen repeatedly swearing as he sat down, though Allardyce sticks by his decision to freshen up the team.
