Philippe Coutinho uses Cesc Fabregas tactic by contributing £12.5m of Barcelona transfer offer

Philippe Coutinho will contribute part of his new salary to Barcelona’s transfer offer in order to seal his long-mooted move away from Liverpool, according to reports.

The Brazilian was Barca’s top target throughout the summer as they sought a replacement for Neymar, who moved to PSG for £198m, though Liverpool refused to sell.

That stance softened more recently, however, and Coutinho is expected to be unveiled as a Barcelona player imminently, with Nike already ‘announcing’ the deal by advertising Barca shirts with the Brazilian’s name on.
