Manchester United were forced to delete a strange post about James Rodriguez on their official Twitter page during the 3-2 victory over Manchester City on Saturday.

United’s official Twitter account for Spanish-speaking followers posted ‘James Rodriguez’ shortly after Ilkay Gundogan had given City a two-goal lead at the Etihad Stadium.

The bizarre tweet was swiftly deleted as United limped to the half-time break after a woeful opening 45 minutes.
