Manchester City have pulled out of the race to sign Alexis Sanchez giving rivals Manchester United a free run at signing the Chilean, according to reports.

Pep Guardiola’s side have long been favourites to sign Sanchez and had agreed a contract with him back in the summer, though Jose Mourinho made a late move to hijack the deal when the window reopened.

The Red Devils have offered a more lucrative package, both in transfer fee to Arsenal, salary to Sanchez and agent fees to his representative Fernando Felicevich.
