One Arsenal player almost cried during an emotional crisis meeting held after the side’s Carabao Cup final thumping at the hands of Manchester City.
Arsene Wenger’s position is in serious doubt following two defeats in five days to City and the club are seriously considering replacing the Frenchman in the summer.
It’s understood Per Mertesacker led a player meeting without Wenger at London Colney following the first 3-0 defeat to Pep Guardiola’s side.
And, according to The Guardian, an unnamed Arsenal star was close to tears as he delivered an impassioned speech which he was unable to finish.
